The grapes for our "Annie" wine were grown in the Dunnigan Hills AVA, where these varietals grow well. Aromas of blackberry with hints of chocolate and fresh tobacco fill the glass. It’s bold taste and smooth, round mouth feel pair well with flavorful foods such as blackened steak or Cajun-spiced pasta or jambalaya.

• A primary red wine grape for much of Spain, especially from the Ribera del Duero

Malbec:
• Characteristics that fall somewhere between Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
• A midseason ripener
• Deep color, ample tannin, and a particular plum-like flavor component adds complexity
to claret blends.

• Also forms the backbone of most Rhône blends, including Chateauneuf du Pape.
