2005 Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir

This Pinot Noir is from Santa Barbara County, California between the Santa Rita Hills AVA and the ocean. The warm days followed by rapid cooling in the early evening make a truly Burgundian style Pinot. It is a beautiful ruby color with aromas of strawberry, cherry, and hints of black pepper, cranberry, roses, and vanilla. The silky mouth feel and bright fruit flavors of cassis and cherries are finished with hints of vanilla and pepper as well. This wine is fantastic by itself and even better with delicate cheeses like Gouda, Monterey Jack, or a light Brie. Enjoy now through 2012 and beyond.
